Positano is a small Italian Restaurant located off of Lawndale Dr in a strip mall.  It is very popular and I highly recommend getting reservations as there are not many tables.  It is small with around 20 tables. It has the basic Italian theme and I would rate the ambiance much higher, but there are 2 tables...  1 is terrible, right at the entrance and the other right next to it and it is next to the area the servers must pass and you practically get hit by a server every few minutes.  Being a small restaurant, every table is valuable, but these 2 are not worth sitting at. We have eaten here two times and both times we ended up in one of the less desirable tables along the servers path.  I would suggest waiting for another table if these are offered to you....  We should have.

The restaurant has the wonderful smell of Italian cooking with lots of garlic in the air. The food is very good.  Nothing overly creative, mostly your basic Italian fare.  They do have a couple of Italian-inspired original dishes.  One area they  really excel is in getting the food to your table piping hot.  Every dish we saw being served had steam rolling off the plate.  No lukewarm dishes here!  The servers at Positano's are excellent.  They are very attentive without being overbearing.  They truly seemed to care if we enjoyed all of the dishes.  They did a great job.

Tonight I had Positano's Seafood Mediterraneo   This is a mixture of scallops, baby clams, shrimp, mussels and calamari, olive oil, garlic in a light tomato sauce with whole cherry tomatoes.  The dish had a good balance of flavors of tomato, garlic, and spices, however, it was a little bland.   My only issue was the calamari was slightly fishy tonight.

Debby had the Veal Piccata.  Veal in a lemon sauce with LOTS of capers.  Debby felt this was the best Veal Piccata she has had in the Triad. The veal was cooked perfectly and the sauce had the perfect balance of citrus, sour, garlic and savory.  Positano's did the Veal Piccata right!

When we come back, and we will, I want to try some of their Ravioli.  A few plates that went by look really good! your social media marketing partner
