Gia Drink, Eat, Listen,  terrible name but great food.  Gia  is located upstairs on the back side of the small strip mall.  I have driven by this place on New Garden Road many times and never really looked.  I am disappointed I did not find them sooner.

Gia is a small modern restaurant that has a lot going for it.  Great menu and food, good beer list, good wine selection, and a great bar.  The interior is broken up into 3 rooms, each with a different feel.  All good.  The center section has  the bar and tall top tables with a view of the kitchen.  There is a small side room on one side and another room with low top tables.  The restaurant has a very modern feel that makes it attractive, casual and comfortable.
The menu is  comprised of a grouping of small plates and a large specials menu that changes regularly.  The bar also has plenty of specialty drinks.
The servers at Gia are really good.  For a restaurant at this price range, the service is fantastic.
Today we started with the beef tips with cremini mushrooms and truffle vinaigrette.  This is the best dish we had tonight.  The flavors of the mushrooms, truffles and garlic and roasted beef notes were wonderful.  This plays well with the asparagus.  The plating was not overly attractive, but the flavor made up for the less than attractive look.

Next was Schiacciate Margherita style.  This Sicilian flatbread is cooked in a wood-fired oven.  We had had  sausage and yellow pepper version on our last visit and I felt this was fantastic. The margarita version was lacking in flavor.  It could have used more garlic, olive oil, pepper, and salt.   Still good, but just lacking a bit in flavor.Schiacciate Margharita style
Next was the Flash Fried Artichoke with herb Aioli.  The Artichoke was perfectly fried.  Crispy on the outside and tender and moist on the inside.  However, I feel the herb aioli was too mild.  The garlic notes and herb notes were not strong enough to overcome the strong fried notes.  This could have been fantastic if the Aioli was just a bit stronger.Gia Eat Drink Listen Flash Fried Arichoke with herb Aioli
Next was dessert.    Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus.  Wow.  This was a simple dish that really impressed.  This was cooked to perfection.  The Prosciutto was crispy salty and this combined perfectly with the earthy notes of the asparagus.  The plate does not look impressive, but if you go, order this!

Overall, Gia needs to be added to your list of restaurants to visit.  Great food, great service and great atmosphere. I also feel there is an exceptional value here too.  For all of this greatness, the price is reasonable!  The only negatives that I can say are that I wished some of the dishes were seasoned a bit more and that they would work on their plating to make a better presentation. your social media marketing partner
